The Petersen app provides visitors an enriched, amplified, and interactive museum experience with the integration of beacon technology. The museum tour comes alive with the delivery of contextual content while delivering a rich stream of media to mobile devices. Fully localized, visitors can enjoy the self-guided tour in their native language. Users favorite exhibit items to their collection, and browse conveniently the museum’s entire current collection. Users are rewarded for visiting the museum, by the app archiving all items of the visited exhibits. Other features include a treasure hunt, an events and exhibit calendar and access to more detailed information about the exhibit items and the museum.
